Step 1: Interest Form

Thinking about joining us – Come take a tour of pdXed! Tours are offered once a month and are on our school calendar. Please fill out the  interest form and send it to us if you are interested in attending a tour.. pdXed will confirm your tour date and time with you via e-mail. Tours are intended for adults only. Should you end up deciding that pdXed feels like the best fit for your child + family at large, we will then set up a time for your child to come meet the teachers + tour the school on kid friendly terms. Excited to meet you!

Step 2: School Tour/Informational Meeting

Families will attend an informational meeting/school tour intended to provide an overview of the schools philosophy, program, teaching methods and space (environment as third teacher, physical layout of space, etc.). The tour & meeting last approximately one hour. *This tour and meeting are not appropriate for kids – pdXed will set up a separate time on child friendly/child appropriate terms to meet children on a one on one basis after enrollment is confirmed, as to begin getting to know one another and as to ensure a successful and utterly welcoming and smooth transition into the school.

Step 3: Enrollment Form

Families interested in joining the pdXed family should email pdXed directors to indicate their desire to enroll their child(ren). pdXed will be back in touch to confirm space availability based on specific scheduling needs requested and/or to confirm that a family has unfortunately been wait listed due to lack of space availability. An official enrollment form must be filled out and turned in prior to a child’s first day of attendance at pdXed school.

Step 4: Welcome

Upon notification of admittance, families will then send pdXed first and last months tuition (non-refundable). At this point in time your child is officially set to begin school on their start date! So glad you joined us!

Waitlist:

pdXed maintains a waiting list of families who have applied based off each family’s specific scheduling requests and by the date we receive your email indicating interest in enrollment. pdXed will contact you when an enrollment spot becomes available, at which point you may choose to take the available spot or remain on the waiting list until a spot that suits your scheduling needs more closely becomes available. Siblings of currently enrolled students receive priority status.

Anti Bias Statement:

The Portland School of Experiential Education is an anti-bias, non-discriminatory environment and program welcoming children and families of all family compositions, religions, expressed genders, races, abilities, ethnicities, sexes, creeds, and national origins.
